About Azimut 72

Running an Azimut 72 day to day starts with details built into the specification rather than added afterwards: a cockpit docking station with joystick and thruster control, and a Seakeeper 18 stabiliser fitted as standard. She is due for delivery in the third quarter of 2026, built in Italy on a hull in GRP and carbon fibre.

Build and provenance

Azimut builds Azimut 72 as a flybridge motor yacht on a monohull. Fabio Fantolino designed the interior and Alberto Mancini the exterior styling, a pairing that keeps the cabins and the helm reading as one job rather than two separate briefs. At 23 metres with a 5.6-metre beam and a 1.2-metre draft, she suits marinas and shallower anchorages as readily as open water.

Layout and accommodation

Four cabins sleep 8 guests, and a crew of 2 lives aboard to run her day to day, leaving an owner free of lines, galley and housekeeping. The detail carries through in small fittings: a safe in the master cabin, a wine cooler in the salon, and an automatic boarding ladder in stainless steel and teak, the sort of finishing an owner notices most after a season of regular use.

Performance and engineering

Two MAN CR V12 engines at 1,400 hp each give her a 26-knot cruise and 32 knots flat out, enough speed to make a passage feel short, with a 327-nautical-mile range once under way. That Seakeeper 18 stabiliser and the cockpit joystick docking station make her easier to own without a professional captain handling every close-quarters manoeuvre.

Where she lies and how to see her

Azimut 72 is being built in Italy, where the yard has her under construction now. Boatcrowd arranges viewings through the build process and attends them with you, and once an offer is accepted we co-ordinate the survey and sea trial ahead of handover.
