Build and provenance
Astondoa AS8 is a monohull flybridge motor yacht with a beam of 5.8 metres and a draft of 1.8 metres, fitted with floor-to-ceiling hull windows that bring natural light into the lower deck rather than leaving it to portholes. The main deck runs indoors to outdoors without a step change, so a gathering can move from the saloon to the cockpit without anyone noticing the transition.
Layout and accommodation
Four staterooms sleep eight guests, including a full-beam master that runs the width of the boat rather than sitting to one side, and separate crew quarters keep the service side of the boat out of the guest areas. A large television and premium audio in the saloon make the main deck the natural place for an evening in, while the flybridge above adds panoramic views and more than one place to sit.
Performance and engineering
Twin 1,900 hp MAN V12 engines give Astondoa AS8 a top speed of around 32 knots, enough to make a coastal run feel like part of the day rather than a delay before it. Fin stabilisation and twin generators support long days at anchor as much as they support the running, keeping the boat level at rest and her systems powered without the mains turning over.

- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
