About Vivace
Ten guests fit easily aboard Vivace, and a beam wide enough to notice from the dock is why: at 8.1 metres she is built more like a floating villa than a slim cruiser. Alpha Custom Yachts built her in 2021 to a design by Giorgio Cassetta with naval architects Laurent Giles, and a buyer weighing whether to commit can try her first through our charter fleet.
Build and provenance
She has a GRP monohull, drawn by Cassetta and Laurent Giles to put volume where the cabins and saloon need it. The lower deck holds five cabins, and the width shows in the detail: twin cabins carry a bed a full metre wide, and the VIP cabins take king size beds, a fit a narrower hull on a 102-foot yacht could not manage.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests sleep across the five cabins, and a crew of six look after them, a ratio suited to a fully crewed stay whether chartered or owned. The full beam owner's cabin sits low over the water, with windows close enough to the surface that the cabin feels part of the sea rather than shut away from it. A dining area aft seats 12 guests, with a further lounge on the foredeck.
Performance and engineering
Two engines, rated at 2,000 hp each, give Vivace a 12-knot cruise and a 16-knot top speed, figures that suit a displacement hull built for comfortable passages rather than a sprint. Stabilisers hold her steady at anchor, and a straight bow makes for an easy entry into the water at the swim platform.
On deck and at anchor
A pool set into the aft deck is the centrepiece of life aboard, with a gym for guests who want to keep a routine while cruising. Sunpads, an outdoor shower and air conditioning round out a boat built for lounging at anchor, and WiFi keeps everyone connected.
Where she lies and how to see her
Vivace lies in Fort Lauderdale in the United States. We set up every viewing and are there for it, and a survey and sea trial follow once an offer is accepted. She also charters with us out of Exuma across the Bahamas and the United States, so a buyer can spend time aboard her before deciding to make an offer.

She is in our charter fleet as well as on the market, so a season can be run against her costs while she is for sale.
Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
