Deimos Motor Yacht
About Deimos
Nearly five decades of Turkish shipbuilding sit behind Deimos, Aegean Yacht's newest yacht in build, and her exterior carries the work of the Italian designer Gian Paolo Nari. A second sister ship is building alongside her to the same explorer concept, and she is due for delivery in 2028 with twelve guests sleeping across six cabins.
Build and provenance
She is a steel-hulled monohull, built to a full-displacement hull form and finished in navetta style, with an aft pool set into the main deck as part of that styling. Gian Paolo Nari drew her exterior, and Aegean Yacht is building a second, near-identical sister ship to the same explorer concept alongside her.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests sleep across six cabins aboard Deimos, including an owner's suite with a private terrace opening views to both port and starboard, a feature the yard calls rare on a yacht her size. Forward, three double cabins and a separate captain's cabin next to the wheelhouse keep the crew close to the bridge and away from guest spaces.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,450 hp MAN D2862 LE466 engines give Deimos a twelve-knot cruise and a fourteen-knot top speed, output matched to a steel hull built for distance cruising rather than sprint speed. Generous storage and technical space below deck are built in for extended time away from a marina, part of the same explorer brief that shaped her design.
Where she lies and how to see her
Deimos is building in Turkey, and once she is delivered we will arrange viewings there and bring interested buyers aboard to see her in person. A survey and sea trial follow an accepted offer, standard steps before any new-build changes hands.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
