Curaçao Itineraries: Day Charters and Multi-Day Routes
Curaçao’s 40-plus beaches, UNESCO-listed capital and proximity to both Bonaire and Klein Curaçao make it the most versatile of the ABC Islands for itinerary planning. The routes below are designed to be combined: a guest booking the 3-day and 4-day routes can stitch them into a 7-day circuit covering Curaçao, Bonaire and Klein Curaçao without repeating a single stop. For guests with more time, a 5-day itinerary extends the voyage to include all three ABC Islands. Every itinerary is fully customisable – your captain and Boatcrowd charter specialist will tailor stops and pacing to your group’s interests.
Day Charter Routes
West Coast Beaches: Cas Abao, Playa Lagun and Grote Knip
Depart Spanish Water mid-morning and cruise west along Curaçao’s southern coast, rounding Willemstad and heading into the Banda Abou region. First stop: Cas Abao – roughly 15 nautical miles from Spanish Water, about an hour’s cruise. Anchor in the wide bay and spend the morning snorkelling the healthy reef along the cliff walls – sea turtles, spotted eagle rays and colourful tropical fish in calm, clear water. Your chef serves lunch on the aft deck. In the early afternoon, cruise 3 nautical miles north-west to Playa Lagun – a narrow inlet between rocky cliffs where turtles are regularly spotted. Finish the day at Grote Knip, the island’s most photographed beach, for a late-afternoon swim in the crystal-clear lagoon before returning via the coast.
Willemstad Heritage and Harbour Tour
Cruise from Spanish Water to St Anna Bay – roughly 8 nautical miles. Enter the harbour and take in the UNESCO-listed Handelskade from the water, then moor or anchor and tender ashore. Walk the Queen Emma pontoon bridge, explore Punda’s duty-free shops and Otrobanda’s colonial architecture, visit Fort Amsterdam, and browse the Floating Market for tropical produce. Lunch ashore at Plasa Bieu (the Old Market food hall) for authentic local dishes, or at a Pietermaai district restaurant. In the afternoon, tour Landhuis Chobolobo for the Blue Curaçao liqueur experience, or visit Hato Caves – 300,000-year-old coral limestone chambers with stalactites, Arawak petroglyphs and a resident bat colony. Return to Spanish Water for dinner aboard.
Klein Curaçao Day Trip
Set course south-east from Spanish Water for Klein Curaçao – roughly 10 nautical miles, about 45 minutes at cruising speed. Anchor offshore this uninhabited island and spend the day in full castaway mode. The snorkelling is outstanding – dramatic drop-offs, vibrant coral, abundant reef fish and nesting sea turtles. Walk the island to the pink lighthouse and the rusted remains of the Maria Bianca Guidesman shipwreck on the beach. Your crew sets up shade and a beach barbecue on the sand. Return to Spanish Water in the golden late-afternoon light.
Multi-Day Itineraries

Provision treats for your chef at the market stalls. After lunch ashore in the Pietermaai district, cruise back east to Jan Thiel – a lively beach bay with calm water, beach clubs and beachfront restaurants. Day 2: West Coast – Cas Abao, Playa Lagun and Grote Knip
Depart early and cruise west into the Banda Abou region. Spend the morning at Cas Abao snorkelling the reef – beginner-friendly, with sea turtles, eagle rays and abundant tropical fish in calm, clear water. Your chef serves lunch on the aft deck as the yacht repositions to Playa Lagun, where a narrow inlet between rocky cliffs shelters one of the island’s best turtle-spotting sites. In the afternoon, continue to Grote Knip for a swim in the crystal-clear lagoon between limestone walls. If the group is keen, cruise further west to the Mushroom Forest dive site and the Blue Room cave – the ethereal blue light show is best in the early afternoon when the sun is overhead. Overnight at anchor off one of the west-coast beaches.
Day 3: Klein Curaçao and Return
Rise early and cruise south-east to Klein Curaçao – roughly 15 nautical miles from the west coast. Spend the morning snorkelling the pristine drop-off reefs and exploring the uninhabited island on foot – the pink lighthouse, the shipwreck, the nesting turtle beaches. Your crew sets up a full beach barbecue. After lunch, cruise back to Spanish Water (about 10 nautical miles, 45 minutes), arriving by mid-afternoon. Time for a final swim in Spanish Water’s glass-calm harbour, a sundowner on the aft deck, and a farewell dinner at Kome in the Pietermaai district.
4-Day Curaçao Yacht Charter Itinerary: Curaçao to Bonaire
Day 1: Curaçao to Bonaire – Kralendijk and Klein Bonaire
Depart Spanish Water mid-morning and set course east for Bonaire – approximately 40 nautical miles, around 2.5 hours at cruising speed. Your crew serves lunch on the aft deck as the open Caribbean stretches in every direction. Arrive at Kralendijk by early afternoon and pick up a mooring buoy (anchoring is prohibited in Bonaire’s marine park). Cruise five minutes to Klein Bonaire for an afternoon of world-class snorkelling – hawksbill turtles, green turtles and pristine reef in visibility exceeding 30 metres. Tender ashore to No Name Beach for a swim on one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful and unspoiled stretches of sand. Return to a Kralendijk mooring for dinner ashore at At Sea.
Day 2: Bonaire’s Southern Reefs and Flamingos
Spend the morning at the Hilma Hooker wreck – moor directly above this 72-metre freighter in 18–30 metres of water and descend to a world of coral-encrusted steel and abundant marine life. Continue south to the Salt Pier for a second dive among the coral-covered pilings. Cruise past the pink salt pans, scanning for the resident flamingo colonies (over 10,000 birds breed here), to Pink Beach on the south-west coast. Your crew serves lunch at anchor, and the afternoon is free for swimming and snorkelling. Return to Kralendijk for dinner at La Balandra’s over-the-water tables.
Day 3: 1000 Steps and Northern Bonaire
Cruise north along Bonaire’s sheltered west coast to 1000 Steps – one of the island’s most famous dive sites, with star coral towers, resident sea turtles and spectacular reef topography. Continue north, stopping at one or two quieter mooring sites where the reef is pristine and uncrowded. Your chef serves lunch at anchor with Washington Slagbaai National Park’s rugged, cactus-covered coastline visible to the north. In the afternoon, return south to Klein Bonaire for a final snorkel on the western reef. Overnight at a Kralendijk mooring.
Day 4: Return to Curaçao

Spend the afternoon at anchor in Spanish Water – a final swim, paddleboard or tender exploration of the mangrove-lined shores. Farewell dinner ashore in Willemstad – Fort Nassau’s hilltop terrace for panoramic views, or a Pietermaai bistro for Caribbean fusion beneath the stars.
Guests looking for a longer voyage can combine the 3-day Curaçao coast route with the 4-day Curaçao–Bonaire crossing for a comprehensive 7-day charter covering two islands, world-class diving, a UNESCO World Heritage city and dozens of Caribbean beaches without repeating a single stop.
