A new hull from Tankoa Yachts is taking shape in Italy: at 52 metres, Tankoa Fenice T520 is the yard's smaller sibling to its larger sister ship, due for delivery in 2029. Buying her now means buying early, before she reaches the water, with the build itself part of the provenance a new owner takes on.

Build and provenance

She is being built as a displacement motor yacht on a monohull, 52 metres long (171 feet), with a beam of 8.9 metres and a draft of 2.5 metres, and a gross tonnage of 499. She takes her design cues from the yard's larger sister ship, an inheritance that shows in her name more than her scale.

Layout and accommodation

Guest, cabin and crew numbers for this in-build yacht are not yet fixed, but her layout concept is set: large glass windows open the interior to the exterior, and teak used indoors and out keeps that transition continuous. Aft, a panoramic cockpit runs into an infinity pool, with uninterrupted decks and unbroken ceiling lines carrying that idea from bow to stern.

Performance and engineering

Two CAT 3516E engines, rated at 1,865 kW each, give her a 15-knot cruise and a 16.5-knot top speed: figures suited to a displacement hull built for steady passages rather than sprint speed.

On deck and at anchor

On deck, sunpads line the stern for lounging: the outdoor spaces a buyer will use most on a yacht built for at-anchor days rather than long passages.
