About Sancrea 70
Ten knots is a cruising speed built for range, not speed, and that is the design brief behind Sancrea 70, a new 22-metre aluminium explorer from the Turkish yard SANCREA, due for delivery in 2025. An aluminium hull and superstructure keep her light for the power she carries, and a 1,500 nautical mile range turns that lightness into distance a buyer can actually use.
Build and provenance
Abbasli Design drew her exterior and Bassan and Benedetti her interior, working within a hull and superstructure built entirely in aluminium for strength without the weight of steel. Sancrea 70 is still under construction, which for a buyer means a live opportunity to fix finishes and layout details before delivery rather than living with someone else's choices.
Layout and accommodation
Six guests sleep across three cabins, including a full-beam master suite that spans the hull's width, while a crew of two live apart to run the boat without crowding the guest spaces. Broad windows and an open-plan salon and dining area keep the interior bright and let the layout flow rather than break into separate rooms, a detail that matters more on an explorer built for longer stretches aboard.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at 10 knots and reaches 14 knots flat out, a pace that trades speed for the fuel economy an explorer needs. Zero-speed stabilisers work at anchor as well as under way, and a 6,000-litre fuel tank against 1,200 litres of fresh water gives her the legs to sit off a coastline for days without a fuel stop. The declared 1,500 nautical mile range suits point-to-point cruising rather than short coastal hops alone.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club opens off the stern for swimming, giving the aft deck a second life at anchor beyond sunbathing space.

Sancrea 70 lies in Bursa, Turkey, close to where she is being built. Boatcrowd is the buyer's point of contact throughout, arranging a viewing and attending it with you in person; once an offer is accepted, a survey and sea trial follow before she is handed over.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
