About Mahalo
A flybridge is an extra room with a view, and on Mahalo it is where a day at anchor off the Italian coast is likely to happen: open air, wide sightlines, space for the whole party rather than a squeezed cockpit. Mulder built her in 2016, a 30-metre motor yacht that carries that upper deck as one of her defining features.
Build and provenance
Mulder built Mahalo, model Mulder 98, as a monohull motor yacht delivered in 2016. She carries a beam of 6.8 metres across her 30-metre length, with 161 gross tonnes of volume built into that hull. For a buyer, those figures set the scale of the space available on board before a single cabin is described.
Layout and accommodation
Eight guests sleep across four cabins, with the flybridge adding a further deck of open living space above the interior. That layout suits a family or group who want somewhere to spread out during the day and retreat to cabins purely to sleep.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,650 hp Caterpillar C32 engines give Mahalo a 12.5-knot cruise and a 21-knot top speed, enough power to make a longer run along the Italian coast quick rather than a full day's commitment. Zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady at anchor, which matters most on the evenings spent at the flybridge rather than under way.
On deck and at anchor
The flybridge is the main deck space at anchor, set apart from movement through the saloon below. It gives Mahalo a dedicated space for meals, drinks or simply watching the Italian coastline, away from the business of moving around the boat.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
