About Bundalong
A 3,500 nautical mile range and an 8,000-litre fuel capacity set Bundalong apart from most catamarans her size: this is a boat built to cross oceans, not hug a coastline. McConaghy delivered her in 2023, and she is currently offered from Gold Coast, Australia.
Build and provenance
Bundalong is built in composite: E-glass and epoxy resin over a foam-sandwich core, reinforced with carbon fibre, the construction McConaghy uses across its range to keep weight down without giving up strength. The Italian studio M2Atelier drew her lines, and she carries a CE Category A Ocean classification, the rating for a yacht built to handle open water rather than coastal runs alone.
Layout and accommodation
Four cabins sleep eight guests, with a crew of four looking after them, a fair ratio for a yacht built to spend real time at anchor rather than alongside a marina. Her 10.2-metre beam is generous for a 24-metre length, and it is the mark of her catamaran hull: it buys interior volume a monohull the same length could not carry.
Performance and engineering
Two 300 hp John Deere engines, logged at 1,037 hours, give her a 10-knot cruise and a 15-knot top speed, figures that put her in passage-making territory rather than sports-cruiser pace. A draft of just 1.2 metres lets her reach shallow anchorages a deeper-hulled yacht could not,

Bundalong lies in Gold Coast, Australia. Boatcrowd arranges viewings on board and is present for each one, and once an offer is accepted we bring in the surveyor and organise the sea trial ahead of handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
