Extra X130 Triplex Motor Yacht
About Extra X130 Triplex
Fourteen knots is the Extra X130 Triplex's cruise, sixteen her top speed: numbers that mark her out as a displacement yacht built for steady range rather than sprint pace. Two MAN V12 engines, rated at 2000 HP, do the work, and at 400 gross tonnes she carries real weight along with them. Extra Yachts will deliver her in 2028, from Italy.
Build and provenance
The X130 Triplex's hull and superstructure are built in aluminium, a lighter structure that still gives a displacement yacht the stiffness two big engines need. Her exterior lines come from Studio Agon, and the interiors are by Laura Brocchini Design. She measures 40 metres in length and 8.6 metres across the beam, proportions that put the engine room's output to work without crowding the guest spaces above it.
Layout and accommodation
Below deck, four en-suite cabins, two VIP and two twin, sleep guests alongside a full-beam suite that can sit on the main deck or take over a private upper deck instead: the choice of where the owner sleeps is part of the design rather than an afterthought. Across the whole yacht that is ten guests in five cabins, with a crew of seven to run the boat and look after them.
Performance and engineering
Two MAN V12 engines, each rated at 2000 HP, drive her to a 14-knot cruise and 16 knots flat out, output matched to a 400-tonne displacement hull rather than a lighter planing one. That balance of power and weight is what lets a yacht this size hold a steady sea speed without straining the engines, the kind of running gear built for distance rather than a short dash between anchorages.
On deck and at anchor
On deck, the Extra X130 Triplex carries a beach club, the kind of space that turns a swim stop into an afternoon rather than a quick dip. A tender garage below keeps the tender out of sight until it is needed, launched straight from the stern rather than craned over the side.
Where she lies and how to see her
The Extra X130 Triplex is being built in Italy, with completion set ahead of a 2028 handover. Boatcrowd sets up a yard visit for any buyer who wants to see her build in progress and joins that visit in person. After an offer on her is accepted, the survey and sea trial follow before she is handed over.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
