Project Raptor Motor Yacht
About Project Raptor
Twelve guests across 6 cabins, with a crew of 20 to run her: those numbers set the scale for Project Raptor before anything else. She is a custom build, due in 2029, stretching to 97 metres, an explorer by style, the kind of motor yacht built to cover distance.
Build and provenance
She is a custom build, still under construction and due for delivery in 2029, with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure: steel low down for strength and weight where it helps stability, aluminium above for less weight aloft. At this stage a buyer is effectively commissioning a yacht still being built rather than surveying a finished one.
Layout and accommodation
Twelve guests aboard Project Raptor are accommodated across 6 cabins, spread over 6 decks, with a crew of 20 to run her, a ratio that points to round-the-clock service rather than a skeleton crew. Her gross tonnage carries the same scale: 4,100 GT across those six decks.
Performance and engineering
Diesel-electric propulsion drives azimuthing pods rather than conventional shafts, a system built for efficiency and close manoeuvring over outright pace: she cruises at 16 knots. At a beam of 14.6 metres she carries the width her 4,100 gross tonnes implies, and zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady at rest, off an anchorage rather than mid-passage.
Where she lies and how to see her
Project Raptor is being built in Vigo, Spain, where Boatcrowd can arrange a viewing of the build in progress and be there for it. Once she is complete and an offer is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
