An entire deck reserved for the owner is the detail that defines Oceanic 143's layout. Canados built her in 2023 to the Oceanic 143 Expedition design, and the private upper deck, five staterooms and space for ten guests all follow from that one decision about how she divides her volume.
Build and provenance
Canados built her in 2023 to the Oceanic 143 Expedition design, a monohull finished in an explorer style, with a hull in E-Glass Vinylester and a superstructure in Kevlar and Aramat composite. Her design team worked to a brief that weighed speed, comfort at sea, exterior space and a shallow draught equally, and at 44 metres, 143 feet, with a beam of 8.2 metres and a draught of 2.1 metres, that brief is visible in her proportions.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated across five staterooms. The owner's cabin occupies the private upper deck on its own, with a king-size bed, a walk-through wardrobe and an ensuite fitted with twin marble basins. Two VIP suites sit on the lower deck with king beds and marble ensuites of their own, and two further twin cabins convert to queen-size berths, giving the layout flexibility for a mixed group of guests. The main saloon is built for entertaining, with a dining table that seats ten and windows that run floor to ceiling, and the aft deck carries that space outdoors with room for lounging and dining. Below, a beach club doubles as a gym, reached from the transom, and a tender bay amidships holds a 20-foot tender.
Performance and engineering
Three Caterpillar C32 B Series engines, each rated at 2,400 hp, drive Oceanic 143 to a cruising speed of 19 knots and a top speed of 26 knots on a fast displacement hull, a configuration built for pace rather than the slow, steady cruise of a pure displacement yacht. Her 2.1-metre draught keeps shallow anchorages and skinny channels within reach, extending where she can cruise.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
