Nova 40 Motor Yacht
About Nova 40
Open-plan living defines the space aboard this design, with lateral bulwarks that fold flat to widen the deck at sea. Tureddi Yachts is building Nova 40 for delivery in 2028, a 40-metre yacht shaped for private use or, in time, charter.
Build and provenance
Nova 40 is a new design from Tureddi Yachts, drawn by Bicchierri Yacht Architects, with a lightweight aluminium hull. Her hull runs 40 metres with an 8.7-metre beam and a 2.2-metre draught, and Lloyd's Register carries her classification. The aluminium construction supports a cruising speed of 15 knots and 17 knots flat out.
Layout and accommodation
Eleven guests are accommodated across five cabins, with an option to add a further stateroom for owners who want more berths than the standard layout offers. The full-beam Owner's Stateroom includes its own lounge and direct access to the wellness spaces, and the main salon opens through full-height windows onto a formal dining area and an atrium-style lounge. A crew of nine looks after them.
Performance and engineering
Two Caterpillar engines, 1925 hp each, drive Nova 40 to a cruising speed of 15 knots and a top speed of 17 knots, figures that suit a fast passage-maker more than a slow-cruising explorer. Her range runs to 4,000 nautical miles, enough to bridge long ocean crossings before she needs to refuel.
Where she lies and how to see her
Nova 40 is being built in Turkey, where any viewing of her would take place before delivery. Boatcrowd puts that visit together and joins you for it, then once an offer is accepted we move straight to survey and sea trial ahead of handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
