Vitters delivered Maximus II in 2023 as a 59-metre (194-foot) sailing monohull, built in aluminium from the hull to the superstructure. At 395 gross tons she carries real volume below her sail plan, and her aluminium construction keeps her light for her length, a material choice suited to a yacht built to sail rather than motor.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests sleep across four cabins, with a crew of nine to sail her and run the interior, close to one crew member for every guest aboard. That ratio points to a yacht crewed for proper passages, not just afternoons on the water.

As a sailing yacht, Maximus II's recorded speed under way is 11 knots, a cruising pace that favours steady passages over quick bursts. Her aluminium build keeps weight down through the hull and rig, in keeping with a boat built to sail rather than motor.
