Nineteen knots at cruise and 24 flat out sit inside a genuinely quiet running range for a flybridge motor yacht this size. Lone Star pairs two 1,650 hp MAN V12-1650 engines with a hull built to carry them, and Ocean Alexander delivered her in 2024 to run exactly this way.

Build and provenance

She is a monohull motor yacht in Ocean Alexander's 28E series, built new in 2024. At 94 feet in length with a 6.2-metre beam and a shallow 1.2-metre draught, she can reach water a deeper yacht would have to sit further out from.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests sleep across five cabins, spread across a flybridge layout that keeps the entertaining deck above the saloon and the cabins below out of the way of the day's activity.

Performance and engineering

Two 1,650 hp MAN V12-1650 engines give her a 19-knot cruise and 24 knots at full throttle, speeds built for covering ground between anchorages quickly rather than for a slow crawl. Fin stabilisers and a separate zero-speed system work together, one for underway and one at rest, so the ride stays flat whether she is making way or sitting still.

On deck and at anchor

On deck, the beach club steps down to a hydraulic swim platform, and a jacuzzi and sun deck sit above for open-air time, with a BBQ close at hand. A gym below decks and Starlink connectivity mean she stays live to routine even away from a marina. A crane, a watermaker and a generator round out the practical side, and teak decks keep the finish consistent from bow to stern.
