One owner commissioned Marea and specified a long list of additional options, the kind of detail that comes from an owner building a yacht for their own use rather than for resale. Sanlorenzo delivered her in 2021, and she comes to market described as being in as-new condition, with a history of light use and continuous care.

Build and provenance

Marea is a Sanlorenzo SL102 Asymmetric, a monohull flybridge motor yacht built to the asymmetric hull design that gives one side of the main deck extra interior space, plus a fold-down terrace off the main saloon. At 31 metres in length, with a 7.1-metre beam and 1.9-metre draft, Marea displaces 180 gross tons, giving her compact proportions for her guest capacity. A young, single-owner hull like this comes with a specification and a service history a buyer can verify rather than reconstruct.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests sleep across five cabins, cared for by a crew of five, a fit that suits a yacht built for an owner's own use rather than heavy turnover. The master suite sits on the main deck, with an opening window to port and a walk-in wardrobe, so the owner's quarters make use of the extra space the asymmetric layout creates.

Performance and engineering

Two MTU 16V2000M96 engines, rated at 2342 hp each, give Marea a 20-knot cruise and a top speed of 27 knots. Zero-speed stabilisers hold her steady at anchor as well as underway, useful given how few hours the engines have logged since she was delivered.

On deck and at anchor, Marea offers a sun deck and an outdoor bar, with underwater lights that extend the evening at anchor into the water itself. Air conditioning and satellite TV keep the interior comfortable, and stabilisers at anchor as well as underway mean fewer hours below feeling the swell.
