Steel hull, aluminium superstructure: HIU is built for endurance rather than speed alone, cruising at twelve knots and reaching fourteen knots flat out. Tufan & Brothers Co are building the 40-metre yacht for delivery in 2027, with Red Yacht Design responsible for her lines.
Build and provenance
Tufan & Brothers Co are building her hull in steel with an aluminium superstructure above it, a combination that puts strength low and weight high up the water. Red Yacht Design drew her exterior and interior, and she is due for delivery in 2027, still under construction rather than already afloat.
Layout and accommodation
Ten guests are accommodated across five cabins aboard HIU, with one owner's suite set on the main deck and four further cabins for guests on the lower deck, keeping the owner apart from the rest of the party. A crew of eight is carried to run the boat.
Performance and engineering
She cruises at twelve knots and reaches a top speed of fourteen knots, figures that put her in the coastal cruising category rather than a boat built to sprint. At 450 gross tons on a 40-metre monohull with a 9.6-metre beam, she carries the volume for the outdoor spaces the layout is built around.
On deck and at anchor
A beach club opens at the waterline, built as a place to swim from and unwind rather than simply a boarding platform. The sun deck above carries a swimming pool and lounging space, the outdoor living the design is built around.
Where she lies and how to see her
HIU is being built in Turkey, with delivery still ahead of her rather than behind. Boatcrowd will arrange a viewing of the build and attend it with you; once an offer on her is accepted, survey and sea trial follow before handover.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
