Gregory C Marshall Design has drawn a 63-metre displacement yacht for Delta Marine to build, with her interior finish and final specification still open to the eventual owner's brief. Delta Marine is the Seattle yard named to build her, with 2028 set as the delivery year.
Build and provenance
Project Metaverse is a full custom design, a motor yacht with a monohull and a full displacement hull, matched to a steel hull and a composite superstructure. At 207ft (63 metres) overall, with a beam of 3.7 metres and a draft of 3.4 metres, she is sized for open water rather than tight marinas. Because she is still a project rather than a delivered yacht, a buyer joins at the stage where the interior finish and the final specification are still theirs to choose.
Layout and accommodation
Fourteen guests are accommodated across seven cabins, a ratio that leaves each suite generously sized on a boat of this length. The owner's suite is full beam, with private balconies on both sides, one holding its own spa pool. Guest cabins are split between the main deck and the deck below, each with direct access to the crew stairs and lift, so service reaches every room without crossing the owner's or guests' own spaces.
Performance and engineering
Two 1,600hp Caterpillar engines, the specific model still to be confirmed, give Project Metaverse a 12-knot cruise and a 16-knot top speed, choices suited to a displacement hull built for range rather than for a sprint. Her tanks hold 2,000 gallons of fuel, enough for the kind of ocean crossings a full-displacement design of this size is built to make.

Buying Costs
- Survey
- A buyer normally commissions a condition survey, and a sea trial, once an offer is accepted and before the sale becomes unconditional. The cost depends on her size and on where she is lifted, and it is the buyer who appoints the surveyor.
- Registration and flag
- She will be registered on a flag of the buyer's choosing, which carries its own fees and its own survey and crew requirements. Where the yacht is owned through a company, the shares rather than the vessel may change hands, which changes what is payable.
- VAT and import
- Whether VAT is due, and where, depends on the yacht's current status, her flag, the buyer's residency and where she is delivered. Where the seller has stated her VAT status, it is shown with the asking price on her page, and it is confirmed in writing before an offer is made.
- Running costs
- Crew, berthing, insurance, class and annual maintenance continue from the day she is yours. A yacht that is also chartered earns against them, and we will set out what her season has actually returned before you commit.
