She is a Sunreef 50, the yard's sailing catamaran, with three cabins built around a galley-up layout. Sunreef Yachts also handled the interior, described in the source material as calm and welcoming, with warm finishes and natural light throughout.

Three cabins sleep six guests, and the galley-up configuration keeps the cooking and dining together rather than split across separate decks. The finishes and the light below are what the source material calls the boat's welcoming atmosphere.

Performance and engineering

Twin Yanmar diesels power Lucy, backed by a Parasailor for sailing in lighter airs, the kind of sail an owner reaches for when the wind drops rather than starting the engines. Two 750-litre fuel tanks and an 800-litre water tank give her the range for island hopping without a constant search for a fuel dock.

On deck and at anchor

On deck, the flybridge lounge and a bow lounging area give two different places to sit depending on the sun, and the hydraulic swim platform lowers for swimming and tender access. A tender, solar panels and the Parasailor together set her up for a genuinely self-sufficient few days at anchor, water and power included.

Lucy lies in France. Boatcrowd arranges the viewing there and comes along for it, and once an offer is accepted the surveyor and the sea trial follow before handover.
