Wiggle Room

A yacht's designer can say as much about her as her builder, and Wiggle Room pairs Ocean Alexander with Evan K. Marshall, the studio behind her interior. Ocean Alexander delivered her in 2017, and since then that interior has been refreshed with new soft goods and quartz worktops. For a buyer, that combination means a used yacht that arrives current rather than dated.

Build and provenance

Wiggle Room is a semi-displacement motor yacht, thirty-one metres long and 173 gross tons, built in GRP with a GRP superstructure. That hull form gives her the volume of a larger yacht while keeping her manageable to handle, and she is described as in excellent condition, ready for her next owner.

Layout and accommodation

Eight guests sleep across four cabins, with a crew of four to run the boat, a ratio that keeps service attentive without crowding the accommodation. The full-beam owner's suite sits on the lower deck with its own dressing room. On the main deck, a country kitchen anchors the salon as a gathering point, and an enclosed skylounge above adds a second, climate-controlled lounge for evenings when the weather turns.

Performance and engineering

Twin Caterpillar diesels give her a 17-knot cruise, with zero-speed stabilisers to hold her steady at anchor and both bow and stern thrusters for precise work alongside. For a buyer, that is a yacht built for coastal cruising and easy handling rather than long ocean passages.
