Mengi Yay 39

A flybridge deck changes how a day on board unfolds, rather than everything happening at one level. The Mengi Yay 39 is being built to that layout, a 39-metre, 128-foot motor yacht due for delivery from her Turkish yard in 2028.

Build and provenance

Mengi Yay is building the Mengi Yay 39 as a monohull motor yacht in the flybridge style, 39 metres long and 128 feet by class measurement, with an 8.8-metre beam and a 2.4-metre draft that between them give her 437 gross tons of volume. She is currently under construction, with delivery set for 2028.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests are accommodated in five cabins, and a crew of five run the boat around them, a one-to-two ratio that keeps service close without a boat full of staff. The specification also lists six guest heads against two for crew, enough that a full complement of guests is never waiting for a bathroom.

Performance and engineering

Twin CAT C32 engines, rated at 1,450 hp apiece, give her a 12-knot cruising speed, a steady pace that keeps the flybridge level and usable while under way rather than only at anchor.
