Scintilla Maris 机动游艇

A single 2,000hp Marelli generator drives three Volvo hybrid propulsion units aboard Scintilla Maris, a diesel-electric system built for quiet, efficient running rather than outright speed. Damen Maaskant delivered her as a 46-metre explorer in 2023, and she is now offered for sale from Germany.

Build and provenance

She is a monohull motor yacht in the explorer style, 46 metres, or 150 feet, long, with a beam of 9 metres, a draught of 5.1 metres and 499 gross tonnes. Damen Maaskant built her in the Netherlands, delivering her in 2023.

Layout and accommodation

Ten guests sleep across five cabins, with a crew of eight aboard to look after them and run the yacht. A crew of eight for ten guests is close attention rather than a stretched team covering a full boat.

Performance and engineering

Her hybrid drivetrain gives her a 9-knot cruise and a 14-knot top speed, figures that favour range and quiet running over a fast passage, in keeping with an explorer built to go further rather than faster. The generator and propulsion units work together as one system, arranged for efficient cruising rather than a burst of top speed.

A sun deck is the one listed outdoor space beyond her working decks, a place to be outside once she is anchored or moored.
