Baglietto Fast 42

Three engines instead of two sets this Baglietto apart before she ever leaves the yard: a trio of MTU 16V2000 M96L units built for a 24-knot cruise and 28 knots flat out. Baglietto Fast 42 is a new-build, due for delivery in 2028, so her history starts with an owner rather than continuing one. At 42 metres and 399 gross tons, she carries real volume for her length.

Build and provenance

She is built in aluminium, a material choice that keeps weight down for a three-engine yacht designed around pace. Baglietto's Fast series is conceived for days at sea and outdoor time with friends, and the Fast 42 follows that brief: a flybridge profile on a monohull, 8.7 metres of beam and a 2.1-metre draft. Because she has not yet been delivered, there is no service history to report, just a specification and a delivery date.

Layout and accommodation

Twelve guests sleep across five cabins, looked after by a crew of seven, a ratio that puts more than one crew member to every two guests. That is the kind of staffing a yacht built for entertaining needs if the pace on deck is going to be matched by service below.
