Lastochka II

Build and provenance

She is a Sunseeker Manhattan 68, a monohull flybridge motor yacht built in 2020, 21 metres length overall and 69 feet on the builder's measure, with a 5.3 metre beam and a 1.6 metre draft. Stainless steel railing runs along the bow and down the side of the boat, a detail carried through from the same design language as her deck layout.

Layout and accommodation

Four cabins sleep 8 guests, including 2 large twin cabins alongside the master. Glazing where the hull meets the saloon brings large side windows into both the saloon and the cabins, so the view over the water reaches rooms that on many boats stay closed off from it. The galley runs open plan into the saloon, which her listing describes as having a homely feel, and the master cabin's atmosphere is described in the same listing as tranquil.

Performance and engineering

Twin 1,183 hp MAN V8 1200 engines give Lastochka II an 18 knot cruise and a 32 knot top speed, enough to close a distance quickly when the day calls for it and to hold a comfortable pace when it does not. Stabilisers under way settle the ride at cruising speed, useful on a flybridge boat where the top deck feels every degree of roll.
